Online Students: Neil Zhu

By Wayne | Videos: Online Students

It’s always an honor to be chosen to view and analyze the swing of a promising young player, and Neil Zhu certainly fits that bill. Neil is (I think) 10 years old in this video and already possessing the attributes of an excellent player. Neil’s father, Jason, was watching some of my swing analysis videos and thought that it would be a nice thing to get my opinion regarding Neil’s swing. My suggestions here would be the same if Neil had been 15 or 25 years old. The way his father implements them is another matter, and I recommend that…

Online Students: Jason Huguet

By Wayne | Videos: Online Students

Here I give you the opportunity to stop the video and do your own analysis. I don’t think it would be such a great idea to have all of you post your analyses on the site as that might make Jason’s head explode, so for this one you can discuss elements of how mine was different but don’t post the whole thing.

Student Lesson: Jared Kenworthy

By Wayne | Videos: Lesson of the Week

Jared has been a member of the web site for a while now and has created a nice series of videos that he posted in the forum documenting all the hard work he’s done on his swing, check them out if you haven’t seen them yet. Jared used the information on this site, a few online lessons, a lot of motivation, some self-analysis and plain old hard work to build himself a very nice swing. In this video Jared actually made the trip out from Kansas for business and decided to drop by Woodmont for an in-person lesson, which was…

Online Students: Adam Auger

By Wayne | Videos: Online Students

This is Adam’s third online lesson, and his swing is really looking good. Here I suggest to Adam that his posture is a bit too “sitting back” and that his weight looks too far into the heels at address. I side by side him with Bill Haas and Adam Scott, and the differences are apparent. I think that with this change his swing will look great and that his impact will have a chance to line up almost perfectly with his original shaft plane. Otherwise Adam is doing pretty much as prescribed throughout the swing, although he could still go…

Online Students: Rob Kane

By Wayne | Videos: Online Students

I think it is so cool to be able to try to help someone from the other side of the world. Just thinking about the advances in technology over the last decade can make your head spin. Rob is from England, and here we see a classic right arm action issue, one that if you have watched a bunch of these lesson videos you find crops up quite often. Rob has a bunch of good stuff happening in his swing, and does a great job of returning the shaft pretty darn close to the original shaft plane on his approach…
