Stan Falls Victim to the Infomercial

It’s been a few months since I’ve seen Stan, and after the verbal flogging I gave him the last time I was happy to get his call and fit him in for a lesson. My hope is that he’s been practicing more, both the long game and the short game, and that he has been paying attention to the things we went over in our last session. Heading to the Isleworth Invitational

Friday is the day I attend the PGA show. Saturday morning I’m going down to play Jupiter Hills with one of the club site members, Jimmy Farina. Sunday I’m back in Orland for the Isleworth Invitational, a two-man team event where I play with a member of Woodmont. Anyway, I’ll let you know how I play next week.

What can you say about a player who was one of only three 4-time Division 1 1st Team All-Americans? Could you say he was one of the most talented players to come out of college in history? Sure you could, because the record would back you up. I can vouch for that statement because I was on Gary’s team at Wake Forest when he was a freshman. The first college tournament he played in he won by 8 shots. His first round was a 67 with 33 putts. He hit every green in regulation and three par-5’s in two. He…
