Tuesday at the Player’s Championship

It was a great day of practice out at the awesome TPC Sawgrass course where they play the “5th Major”, the Player’s Championship. Kevin has good memories here as he tied for 2nd two years ago (Tiger won by 2) and David Lingmerth 3-putted 18 to make Kevin a bunch more cash. Anyway, we started off warming up nicely, then went to the back of the range and I mostly watched as Kevin worked on shots around the green with Gabriel Hjertstedt, a two time Tour winner who was renowned for his stellar short game. Gabe is on the Streelman team as the short game guru (I pitch in when he’s not around) and since he lived here in Jacksonville for 6 years he knows this course as well as anyone, and knows the short game shots required to navigate the Bermuda lies and the grain influences better than anyone. After a great session (I learned as much as Kevin) we hit the back nine, and I always take the camera and tripod with me to film various shots, which is what you will be watching here. The course is wonderful, and when you are here it is even better than it looks on TV. Enjoy.
