The P.A.T. Project: Student Lesson: CJ D’Arco Part 1

By Wayne | Videos: Lesson of the Week

This should really be an interesting series of lessons so I encourage you to watch the progression. CJ needs to pass his Player Ability Test (PAT) in order to continue his quest to become a Class-A PGA Professional. The scoring requirement does not seem that daunting (the needed score is around 156 or so) unless you are not that good and you don’t play in tournaments because of that very fact. Now, you might ask why someone who wasn’t a good golfer would want to be a PGA Professional, and it would be a good question. Actually, a better question…

Student Lesson: Jessica Fernandez

By Wayne | Videos: Lesson of the Week

One of my very best friends likes to “gift” me a subscription to “Golf Tips Magazine” every year as a joke, since we both have a great time going over some of the instructional articles found inside. I recently read one that “exposed” certain “Myths” in the game, one of which was the supposed myth that impact was the “moment of truth” in the swing. Online Students: Rob Kane

By Wayne | Videos: Online Students

I think it is so cool to be able to try to help someone from the other side of the world. Just thinking about the advances in technology over the last decade can make your head spin. Lesson of the Week: John Alper

By Wayne | Videos: Lesson of the Week

Here we have a perfect example of the need for technique to go along with athletic ability when it comes to hitting a golf ball. He has come to golf late and has played some but has found it to be more difficult than he ever imagined, so much so that he has not been able to enjoy playing due to extremely inconsistent and generally poor ball striking.

Lesson of the Week: Samyra Lewis

By Wayne | Videos: Lesson of the Week

With Samyra the battle has been to get her to lean the shaft forward at impact with her irons, and here you can see the problem that exists in her first couple swings. We have focused on this in the past, but I always say that the lesson (any lesson) starts with the swing the student brings, and in this case it was obvious what we had to work on.
