Swing Analysis: Seung-Yul Noh

Wow. Now, this kid has a great move. Sean Foley just inherited him as a student, and he can just plan on collecting checks, because there really isn’t much to do with this action except to keep it away from unscrupulous women. (Just kidding). Really, though, as far as a swing that does the things that I prefer and teach as a general rule, this is about as close as it gets. Noh is only 21, and I have a hard time not seeing him do great things in the future.

One Response to Swing Analysis: Seung-Yul Noh

On Monday I went to US Open qualifier in Columbus to watch someone I know who was playing and he ended up getting paired up with Seung Yul Noh and Ben Martin. This tournament is great because with no gallery ropes and few spectators you can get very close to the players. In the afternoon round at as the fourth hole it was 193 to the pin and the players were hitting into a 20 mph wind. Noh hit a very high five with a slight draw that went in the hole for a hole in one which was one of the best shots I have ever seen. He was very impressive and although he made a couple bogeys at the end of the round he tied Justin Leonard for low qualifier. It was interesting to see that his misses tended to go left. After watching the Wayne D analysis his swing is every bit as impressive as seeing it person. Also, he looks like he has a good short game and should be a solid player for a long time.
