Swing Analysis: Russell Knox

By Wayne | Videos: Swing Analysis

It’s always a treat to get good tripod shots of a Tour player, and that’s just what we have here with Russell Knox. Russell, born in Scotland, has worked himself onto the PGA Tour through the mini-tours, the Nationwide Tour, and finally the big dance. He hasn’t won yet but was in a 4 man playoff last year at the Honda Classic. He is having a pretty good year so far in 2015 with just over a million dollars in earnings and 4 top 10s. I think you will find his swing interesting, especially with the trigger movements and the eventual pull back of the head during the swing, things that are more than offset by wonderful rhythm, keeping the hips deep in the box, excellent sequencing and the end result of a nicely forward leaning, sustained impact that arcs around quite close to the original shaft plane.
