Nathan came for an in-person lesson back in April and between then and now he has fixed up the hardest thing for people to fix — getting the hands back to the ball at shaft parallel on approach to impact. We still have some things to work on but they are mechanics with the main thing being a sequencing issue where everything is leaning and moving forward at the same time in transition. The takeaway is really the main cause of the sequencing issue here. So how to solve it? Quiet the trigger move, work on getting the clubface more open and toe up by shaft parallel in the takeaway. Start the swing by rotating from the center to create a lot more width. In the forward swing drive the right leg off the initial hip line while rotating the lower body to get that stretch in the middle. Dialing down the pace of the backswing a bit will be helped by rotating your center to start the swing.
