Kacie works for my longtime friend and student Peter Procops at his club up in New York. As you will see in the video she is very strong and athletic, and with some improved mechanics could really be a player. Pete brought her to one of his lessons down in Boca this January (2017) and since then Kacie has really made some nice improvements, but since we started with some extreme issues there is still quite a bit of work to be done. What I think will really help in the short term is for Kacie to set up a station which will eliminate her hip slide off the ball, encourage her hips to stay deep in the forward swing, and to keep her swing path from coming too far from the outside by forcing her left arm to stay closer to her body in transition. A bag -stand up against the right hip at address will do nicely to keep the hips in the face on box, while a shaft in the ground between the feet and a double shaft angled up close to her left shoulder should help with the right hip thrust toward the ball and the left arm separation and over the top move in the downswing. I always advise moving in and out of a station, hitting maybe 10 shots in it then 10 out of it. The player needs to figure out what the obstacles are doing for them and then try to approximate that feel in a swing without the aids present.
