Lesson of the Week: Weston Weilminster

When I teach a student for a number of years it is always fun to every now and then look back on their swing and compare what it was at the beginning of our time together compared to what it is now. It is especially fun to do this with kids, as they grow so rapidly and the difference between then and now is often huge. This is exactly the case with young Weston, who started with me at age 8 and has now just turned 13. It is quite amazing to look at how much Weston has grown over 4 ½ years, and it is equally cool to see how his swing has progressed. Wes is now 5’10” and 200 lbs., and I’ve watched him hit it over 300 yards more than once. According to his doctors Wes will end up being somewhere in the neighborhood of 6’5” and 250 lbs., and I can just imagine how far he will hit it (with control) if he continues to enjoy the game.
