Stan Looks for Answers

By Wayne | Articles: Lessons with Stan

Here it is, the first of the year, and I’m taking the opportunity to hit a few balls and work on my swing. It’s cold out, and the heated bay at Woodmont where I teach, with its V-1 computer system, is the perfect place to really grind away on the swing glitches that have plagued me over the many years I have played competitive golf. Down The Stretch

By Wayne | Articles: Playing Tournament Golf

It has been said by many great golfers that their main goal in any tournament is to get into contention going into the back nine of the final round. I can walk 36 holes and while my feet have performed admirably it certainly doesn’t occur to me to commend them for a job well done.

Another Interview With the Devil’s Advocate

By Wayne | Articles: In Golf as in Life

Some year’s back I wrote an article titled “Interview with the Devil’s Advocate, in which I assumed the guise of a somewhat belligerent interviewer and asked myself questions on a number of topics concerning my experiences with the game of golf. I found it to be a nice vehicle to express thoughts and opinions in a fashion that differed from the usual lecture mode most pieces drift into.
