Bobby Jones Golf Swing Analyzed

By Wayne | Videos: Swing Analysis

Bobby Jones, one of the all-time greatest golfers. He is the only player to win all four major championships in one calendar year and co-founded the Masters. In this swing analysis, we see how Bobby’s golf swing differs from the modern day golf swing, yet still displays some of the same characteristics of all great ball-strikers. Head lowering, hips in the box, right arm action, forward lean and more, a lot of the same factors you see in all great players you see in Jones as well.

im kind of amazed but you actually see a lot of “pickers” on the LPGA tour. I wish I knew how to post pictures or swings, but if you go to you tube and look at Beatriz Recari, Natalie Gulbis, Julie Inkster you just don’t see the impact alignments you would expect from a pro golfer.

But go to you tube and type in “Beatriz Recari at Evian Masters ”
And she is no slouch she has 2 professional wins…

Very interesting video and one that hits particularly close to home for me for a number of reasons. I don’t mean to compare my game to Jessica as she seems to be a very accomplished player, but I think we can compare experiences/challenges as we work on our games. I’ve worked with Wayne through three in person lessons and most of our time is spent on impact and what I need to do in order to get into a good impact position. From video taken by Wayne and with my own camera, it’s obvious that impact will be something I need to continually work on in order to get better. Personally, I’ve had many moments of frustration. Seeing the experience of other players as they work through similar issues is a good reminder of the hard work and patience that is required to make swing change.
