Basement Tapes: Wayne D. Back in the Basement: Finally Getting the Right Leg Deep

By Wayne | Videos: Basement Tapes

In this basement segment I go over what I have been doing lately with my swing. I have picked up a tremendous amount of distance and my iron play is far more accurate. I will keep you up to date on my progress as I get down to Florida to do some teaching and practicing.

Hi Wayne, appreciate you sharing these basement videos. I find them extremely useful as I work on my improvement. I visually like the taller posture and what you have explained here make sense. Visually these changes look more like what Hogan was doing and I am anxious to try them myself and also about watching and listening how they are working out for you. Thank you. David W

Love these videos. Not sure why (definitely not b/c of Wayne’s lack of clothing). I honestly think it is b/c we are actually able to see the continued evolution of Wayne’s knowledge regarding the backswing and get to share in the continued evolution of our understanding of it as well. Pretty cool.

“Tremendous amounts of distance” sounds very intriguing, you mentioned improved health allowing you to improve your techniqe but can you pinpoint the reason for the distance gains?

I’ve enjoyed watching your swing progress post-surgery. It does look better. I think you’d get the exit to where you want it if you adopted an early head swivel, a la Duval and Allenby.

Thank you sir. Hitting the ball farther is vastly underrated!

Wayne, this video in conjunction with Compression Pivot Swing lessons 9 and 10 have really helped with the start of my backswing, limiting the runaway of hands at top of swing and overall my sequence. Thanks!

Nice video! By the way, great job on PETER Procops swing change. I know how hard it is to change someone that has a job and works long hours. But one of the most improved swings I have seen for someone who doesn’t play for a living!! Well done for both of you!
