Derek has made the first two cuts on the Latin American Tour and feels as though he is close to breaking through with some better play. He is hitting the ball better and the swings you see here tell you why. His issue with crossing the line at the top has been corrected by rotating the forearms more and opening the face, and in general the backswing plane looks great. My only suggestion here regards his hips, which I think could load straighter back into the right hip instead of toward the center, while at the same time adding depth (while keeping right knee flex) that he could maintain in the forward swing to give his right arm even more space coming into impact. As Derek continues to simplify his swing and build confidence in his ball striking I believe good things are soon to follow.
