Blues Jam (with video)

You’ve gotten a taste of Wayne’s blues harp in the post “Swing Analysis: In the Lab: Swing Observations“. Here we have Wayne jamming out two full songs (blues harp and vocals) playing with a live band in an open jam format. The rest of the band is as follows: Scott Martin – Piano, Bruce Martin – Organ, Henry Kurosaka – Guitar, Scott Andrews – Drums, Paul Groover – Bass. All the players attended Langley High School in McLean, Virginia in the 1970’s. The first song is the instrumental “Relaxin” by Big Walter Horton and the second is a Sonny Boy Williamson song titled “Checkin’ Up on my Baby”. Enjoy.
