Wayne, I have learned so much from the Hogan swing views. I know everyone is not built like me 5’8″ 160 but the lag and rotation is exactly what I am working on. I am naturally left handed and have been a puller with my left since I started this game almost 50 yrs ago. A typical block right flip hook. My friend and I have a laugh at the range with how spastic I am throwing from the right side. He is just as bad throwing with his left. My thoughts have been this down pressure into the leftfoot/ankle inthe downswing with more pressure of the right hand on top of the grip with my left hand bowing down and leading since my right hand tends to cup up and my left hand cup also that causes a high ballooning shot. I am finally begining to understand downward compression and release. I was a scratch player. At almost 60 yrs old, I am really enjoying the process. Thanks for your insight on this

WD what are your thoughts on starting with more knee flex to give your right elbow/arm more room at impact, if the play is not athletic enough to lower during the back swing?

I note that Hogan also moved his upper body quite markedly towards the target in the downswing. So much for staying behind the ball. Any comment on that?
