If you watched the first video lesson I gave Tommy you will note that my main focus was on the full windup of his upper body in order to keep the club from laying off so much and to take advantage of the extra power potential involved with engaging the muscles of the lower and mid back. When you watch these swings you will see just how he has taken the idea and incorporated it better than most players do after multiple hands on lessons. This is talent, pure and simple. It is not surprising to me that his results have improved. In fact, as I am writing this I just received word from Tommy’s dad that his team, Rice University, has won their first ever Conference USA championship, with Tommy finishing 3rd individually. Great playing Tommy, and congratulations to the Owls!
