Hi Wayne,
I am hitting pulls, fades & slices. Would like to get rid of the flip at impact and have lower hands at impact. Not sure if this is possible?
Regards
George
I think George is in luck here because most of what I suggest for him to improve his club path, his approach, and his release is related to his set up. George is very squatted and his balance is well back into his heels, which makes it quite hard to maintain posture and create space for the right arm to get in front of the chest, which is an important aspect in getting the hands more forward at impact as well as closer to the body. With the set up back in the heels the general movement of the swing is going to be toward the ball which forces the arms to move more out away from the body (we want the hand path to be outward but the left arm squeezed in) and makes it hard to keep the path from tipping to out to in. I think the adjusted posture and balance will allow George to work his pelvis into more tilt as he swings instead of less, and if he has the room he can start to try to drive his upper right arm and elbow further in front of his chest with that half underhand, half sidearm motion Hogan talked about.
