In Johnny’s follow-up we see him make some nice changes based on the suggestions from his first analysis. He moves off the ball a bit less with his upper body while utilizing extensor action to widen his arm position at the top, then looks much wider at P5, which along with reducing the amount of right leg kick towards the ball gives his right arm more time to work in front of him with the iron and more space and rotation to keep the club from getting stuck behind him with the driver. I make additional suggestions for Johnny to move the ball position with his iron a bit forward to encourage the hands to also move more forward to get to it, while also being more aggressive with and adding to his lateral movement. With the driver he could try moving slightly further from the ball to help give him even more space to free up his right arm. And as is the case with anyone who has been throw releasing, punch- shot and other impact drills are always a good idea.
