We have seen Joey’s swing a couple of times before, and here you can see continuing progress with his left wrist action and shaft movement in transition. I have a good feeling about Joey’s ability to build his swing into a great one, as he has a nice build for the game and a tremendous amount of power without swinging out of his shoes. The bowing of the wrist and steepening of the shaft in transition has been a serious bug for Joey and if we can continue the progress made in this lesson it should lead to heightened success.
On the technical side Joey was able to keep the wrist from turning down too early by concentrating on squeezing left arm against his chest in transition to match up with the way he squeezes his right arm inward. When the squeeze battle is a draw the wrists can stay neutral, which in this case allows Joey to keep the left wrist cupped and the clubface open longer starting the downswing. I think it will be a huge factor in his ability to hit the ball more consistently.
