Lesson of the Week: Jack Lynch

By Wayne | Videos: Lesson of the Week

I really like this lesson because it takes a swing that appears to be almost flawless and shows that not only do the eyes misinform the observer when things are too fast to distinguish but that changes for the better can occur, and evidence of the change can be seen, when the swing is looked at in detail in slow motion. Jack has excellent movement and shaft control, but the overall swing pattern, starting with the set-up, produces an overly rotated clubface through the impact area, which of course is not conducive to consistent shot making. What is cool about watching this is the obvious improvement through impact that is produced with a set-up and takeaway change followed by a focus on better right arm movement, achieved with some punch shot drills that everyone would benefit from.
