Justin’s follow-up swings show that amazingly enough he has been able to execute most of the suggestions I made a couple of weeks ago. Justin’s side by side shows him adding width to the takeaway with his right arm gaining space and height as he stretches his upper trunk in the takeaway while he gets to P3 with his wrist cock more at 90 degrees, quite a bit less than before. At the top his right arm is less bent and further from his body, which eventually will give him an opportunity to flatten the shaft in transition, which doesn’t happen here due to the shaft getting a bit laid off at the top. We also were looking for more lateral movement from P4 to P5, as well as more pelvic depth, and again we see that Justin is successful at both and finishes the swing with his hips much deeper in the box, both of which will help Justin push up off the left leg and get the feel of using the ground better. Congrats to Justin for putting in the work as we know these changes don’t happen after just a few swings. (scroll down for original lesson below the follow-up)
