Message to Wayne I have put a driver and iron swing in the above links. I am a club professional but play mini tours and such trying to continue to develop my game and take it as far as I can. Before I turned pro, I was a +4 handicap. Played in college where I finished at Georgia Southwestern. Struggling ball flight is mostly a pull with the irons, with the occasional push cut. I tend to get steep divots where the toe digs too much. Driver tends to be inconsistent, but a lot of length of the tee averaging speeds 118+. I have never gotten ball speeds where I feel they should be based on club speeds. If there is any other information you would like me to provide, I have 3d data and trackman data. Thanks for your help and look forward to hearing back from you
Duncan looks like a strong young player with nice fluidity and rhythm. His swing at regular speed has that nice look as well, the kind that makes people who don’t know much about the swing start commenting on how any lack of success must be due to “the mental game”. In the video you will see Duncan making a crucial mistake at the start of his downswing, early firing of the right glute causing the right hip to shoot up underneath him. This “early extension” forces his arms out away from him in the downswing and puts the shaft out on his left arm, a good reason for those “steep divots where the toes digs in too much” as he mentions in his email. So much of his swing is money that I believe he will find greater success once he learns to deepen the hip in the backswing and especially deepen it more in transition, as the side by sides with Tiger demonstrate. This will allow him to achieve a shallower approach to impact and to use ground forces later in the downswing and should increase his speed somewhat but especially help him find the sweet spot more often.
