In this basement segment I go over what I have been doing lately with my swing that is finally working. Part of it is my continued recovery from my back surgery (11 months now) which is allowing me to use my pivot the way I think it should be used, while another part is my continued study of the swing, most notably Ben Hogan’s, and going back to the Five Lessons to continue to try to decipher what Ben was talking about. The most notable difference here is in my setup: I am getting rid of most of my knee flex at address, which is enabling me to finally load down and back into the right hip. Before the surgery trying this would have caused big problems with pain and stiffness, but now I am able to practice it and even use it on the course. I have picked up a tremendous amount of distance and my iron play is far more accurate. I will keep you up to date on my progress as I get down to Florida to do some teaching and practicing.
